Definitely Bellagio. We stayed at Bellagio last August. Was fantastic! Centrally located, several pools, shops restaurants, bars etc. All top shelf. Service and rooms excellent. Request a fountain view room in the front of the hotel. They have hourly water shows played to music piped into station on the room's television. Easy to walk to a dozen other hotels to check them out. Enjoy!
Go to the Belagio. It has white tigers there. The one show were the guy almost died beacause of the tiger. hehehehe.
Mandalay Bay is a fantastic hotel with a great pool but it's way down on the strip. The Bellagio is much more central. I'd stay at the Bellagio for the location.
My favorite is the Bellagio it is very artistic casino. The Wynn casino is also very nice.
Have you checked out the flamingo Hilton?.. beautiful grounds/pools
Bellagio is beautiful and really expensive- and how much time are you going to spend in the room or hotel
Mandalay Bay is way on the far end of the major strip and closest to the airport ( geographically undesirable and noise)
Caesears /Mirage are also both very very nice
I'm going in August...we are staying at the Flamingo...I think it's by the Bellagio

living in las vegas i can tell you where. the best place to stay would be mandaly bay. why because they have a nice looking swimming pool more like a lagoon type swimming pool. plus they have one of the best clubs. and the shark reef is right there in the convention portion of the building.
