The Wynn, Bellagio,Mandalay Bay, The Venetian?

I'm going to Vegas in Sept. I got a deal of $99 a night to stay at The Wynn, which I know is a great deal. Anyone who has stayed at the other 5 star hotels I've listed, as well as The Wynn, I'm curious how they all compare.

All 4 are excellent hotels and the best Vegas has to offer. It would largely depend on what you value in your hotel. I would give you a few of things that each is better for...

I would say that Wynn, Bellagio and Venetian are all very similar in that they all have everything you would expect from a 5 Star hotel. Mandalay Bay, while still a beautiful place is probably a notch down from the other 3 when it comes to a pure service stand point. If you really want pampering, Wynn would be the best choice with MB last.

Venetian has the biggest rooms with a large seating area with Bellagio having the smallest standard room of the bunch.

If you want a fun pool with the most gawking opportunities, Mandalay Bay wins hands down. It's a huge area with several pools including a lazy river and a wave pool. The other 3 are very nice to look at but are much more laid back and mellow.

Bellagio would offer the best location with Venetian a close second. Both are within walking distance of 8 or 10 other casinos. Mandalay Bay is at the very south end of the strip, only connected to Luxor and Wynn is a further north next to the new Palazzo.

All have a great selection of restaurants especially if you want gourmet dining with Venetian probably having the most good restaurants and Wynn and Bellagio with the best. You probably wouldnt go wrong with any of the 4 however.

I have room pics of Wynn and Bellagio as well as THEHotel at MB plus property maps of all 4 casinos on my site at...

I hope this helps you make up your mind!

That is a great price for the Wynn but there is a reason. They are currently building a second tower behind the Wynn called the Encore. That is why the Wynn is offering discounts for the rooms most affected by the construction.

In fact, most of the Strip is a mess, currently. The massive City Center construction is screwing up the whole South West part of the Strip, the Wynn construction is screwing up that part, the Mirage is refurbishing the Volcano out front so that is also a mess.

Now, regarding the other hotels you have mentioned, the Bellagio is affected by the City Center construction, Mandalay Bay was having labor problems in early June when I was there (don't know if they were resolved) The Venetian is probably the least affected right now. So you are probably better off there or the new Palazzo.

Just consider yourself warned. The Strip is looking pretty bad right now. The construction is supposed to be completed in 2010. Be prepared to face sidewalk scaffolding, non-running trams, noise, dust, mess, detours all the usual construction related issues.

I e have lived in Las Vegas for over 10 years and I can tell you that it is not all about strippers, gambling and sleazy lifestyles. Las Vegas has some of the best restaurants in the U.S. Las Vegas has a lot more to offer like Mt. Charleston with snowboarding and great hiking trails and Red Rock Canyon with beautiful scenic drives, wildflowers, and more. The MGM grand has several good restaurants as well as Mandalay Bay and don't forget about the places off of the strip like Green Valley Resort. It's a beautiful hotel with lots of nice places to eat and party as well. Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville at the Flamingo Hilton is a great place to dance, eat, and sip cool magaritas without having to be trendy or cool to get in.Sports nuts will love the ESPN cafe at the New York New York. Las Vegas is also the only place that you can go from Paris to Italy to New York in one night. So, walk the strip, see the fountains at Bellagio, then breakfast at the poolside cafe at the Wynn and shop, lunch, or see a movie at Town Square. Enjoy!

I've stayed at each of those hotels and they differ depending on What you're looking for. The Wynn is amazing and it sounds like you got a great deal. The only thing I would warn you of is that the Wynn tends to charge it's guests for lots of extras. For example it's $25 to use the gym! But who uses the gym in Vegas anyways? All of the hotels you mentioned are amazing but the secret to having a great time in Vegas and saving a little money is to go with the best deal you can find amongst the top hotels. You really don't spend much time in the room and all of those hotels are walkable distance from each other. It sounds like you found a great deal at the Wynn (those rooms usually go for $395+ a night) so go for it and visit the other hotels when you're there. Have fun!

Yes, the thing to remember with these choices, is that they are higher priced hotels. So anything else you do in the hotel costs much more than other places. Drinks at Mandalay pool area cost $12, whereas drinks at The Mirage pool are $6. Even picking up a pop or bottle of water in their hotel shops costs double. LOL, we went to the Mandalay convenience shop and bought a bottle of OJ, a bottle of water, a bag of chips and a chocolate bar. I couldn't believe it was $24 til I looked at the bill and the chocolate bar cost 12 bucks! So I guess enjoy the room, but go elsewhere for food, drinks and casino. Bellagio at least has their beautiful water show that you can watch every day. Venetian has beautiful rooms.

Wow .. the Wynn is just following the others in pricing. Any that you choose will be fine. Just what you are looking for. Wynn and Venetian are really at one end of the strip and Mandalay Bay is at the other end with the Bellagio right in the middle. What a pleasant choice you have to make ... Can't go wrong with any of them.

i haven't stayed at any of them but i have stayed at stratosphere hotel and thats only like 3 or 4 stars but 2bh i thought it was really good if a bit basic (:

Here are some discount codes for Bellagio and Mandalay Bay. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/special.html

You got a great deal.

The Wynn is by far the best on the strip. Here are my rankings:

1 - Wynn

2 - Ventitian

3 - Bellagio

You cannot go wrong with any of these hotels, all are very good. If you need promotions beside your Wynn deal I would try http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com
